New Years Day

The first day of 2012 was wonderful! We go to to go church back in our ward. WE love our ward! (even if it is at 8:00 a.m.) and then Grandma and Grandpa came down! While we waited for them to get here we went up and sat by the temple and sun bathed. It was lovely! Then . . .since it has felt like spring lately and not winter we went and found a place that still felt like winter. Up Provo Canyon is Bridal Veil Falls. It is always beautiful but I have to say this time it was especially stunning! It was cold! And there was ice skating! Finally . . it felt like January! We were so glad to have Papa (Evelyn's name for Grandpa) and Grandma with us
I heart this picture!

Matt took this picture. I think it is incredible!
Good thing Papa didn't just let her stand on it . . .talk about thin ice
"I got some ice!" Evelyn
I heart this too!

It was a beautiful wonderful day! After we went home and had pumpkin pancakes yet again. We have found my hidden talent in pumpkin pancakes and making shapes for the holiday we're in. I kind of tried fireworks? LOL. They kind of worked (but I am so excited because on pinterest I found a website for fun things to do with pancakes. YAY!) anyway - we ate yummy food and relaxed. Great way to start a new year! We know it's gonna be a good one! Full of changes and adventure . . bring it on! (I think)

Thanks for coming down Papa and Grandma. We love you!
